Obelisx is a web development agency founded in 2023 and based in Bahçelievler, Istanbul. We build e-commerce platforms, corporate websites and custom web applications on Next.js and TypeScript, as fixed-scope projects rather than monthly retainers. Four reasons that hold up to checking, and one caveat. Turkey is close enough to Europe to work as a same-day extension of your team, and far enough from Western European cost structures to change the budget. The caveat: none of this helps if the work is bad, so everything below is stated in terms you can verify at delivery.

• Time zone that actually overlaps. Istanbul is UTC+3 year-round and does not observe daylight saving, so the gap to Central Europe is one hour in summer and two in winter. Our 09:00–18:00 day covers most of a CET business day and all of the European morning. Compared with a team eight or more hours away, a question does not cost you a day.

• English-language delivery. Scope documents, Figma annotations, code comments, commit messages, admin panels and handover documentation are produced in English. Nothing arrives needing translation before your own team can read it.
• EU-adjacent working culture and compliance.Turkey's data protection law (KVKK) is modelled on GDPR, so consent flows, cookie management and privacy notices are already built the way European regulators expect — we ship them as standard, not as an add-on discovered late.
• Verifiable output, not claims. Speed and Lighthouse optimization are standard on every project. A Lighthouse report is part of handover, the schema markup is validatable, and four delivered projects are published with the live domains on the portfolio page.

In four stages, each one ending in something you approve. You are never asked to buy the next stage before seeing the output of the current one, and the staging URL is open to you from the first build week.

Everything above happens asynchronously by default. Calls are scheduled for design reviews and milestone demos; the rest is written, which is what makes a time-zone gap harmless rather than expensive.

All of it. Handover is a transfer of ownership, not the start of a dependency — the commercial terms below are the same ones published on the Turkish site.

• Source code. Full source code ownership transfers to the client at delivery. The repository moves to your organisation with its full history; there is no licence, no obfuscated build step and no component you are licensing from us.
• Accounts and infrastructure. Hosting, domain, analytics, Search Console and any third-party integrations are created in your name or transferred to it, so revoking our access never takes the site down.
• Design files. The Figma file, the design system and the component documentation come with the code, which is what lets a different team continue the work without a rebuild.
• No recurring fee. No monthly or yearly subscription — setup is a one-time fee. Maintenance after the free support window is an optional monthly agreement, not a condition of keeping what you paid for.
• Payment terms. 50% advance before project start, balance on delivery. Prices exclude VAT.
