Web development pricing in US dollars

Three prices, all one-time project fees rather than retainers: Starter $600 — single-page, high-converting landing page; Growth $1,200 — 5-page corporate site for growing businesses; Premium from $2,800 — e-commerce and corporate systems, custom software. Nothing recurring is attached to any of them: no monthly licence, no seat fee, no mandatory maintenance contract when the free support window ends.

Prices exclude VAT. The packages are fixed-scope reference points, not rigid tiers — if your requirement sits between two of them we scope it line by line and quote it separately. Each package covers bespoke design and development; the services page explains what the engagement itself looks like week by week.

The technical baseline is identical in all three. Bespoke design, server-side rendering, technical SEO setup and performance work are standard — no feature is switched off in the cheaper package. What actually differs is scope, delivery time and how long free support runs after handover.

The Premium row carries no fixed delivery figure because integrations and catalogue size decide it; once scope is agreed the schedule is written into the quote. Real delivered scopes are documented on the portfolio page.

Three variables, in this order: whether the design is bespoke or a bought theme, how many distinct page types are needed, and how many integrations get connected. Total page count is not on the list, because it moves the number far less than people expect.

• Bespoke design or a bought theme? Buying a template and pouring content into it is the cheapest route and leaves you sharing a skeleton with every other site running that theme. Every Obelisx package is designed from scratch — we do not resell themes — and this is the largest single line in the budget.
• How many distinct page types? What costs money is the number of templates that must be designed, not the number of URLs. Twenty product pages sharing one template are cheaper than six pages needing five different layouts: each new type is separate design, separate build and separate testing.
• How many integrations? Payment gateway, shipping, ERP, CRM, email marketing and accounting connections each add their own development and failure-handling work. The gap between a brochure site and a system that takes money is mostly this.

None of these change because you are contracting from abroad. The scope you describe is the scope that is priced, and the figure is fixed before work starts.

Five items sit outside the package fee. They are listed here so nothing appears on an invoice you were not expecting — none of them is added quietly later.

• Domain name. Registered in your name, billed to you annually by the registrar. You own the domain from the first day.
• Hosting and servers. We do the setup and configuration; the monthly bill goes from the provider to your own account, so the credentials stay with you rather than with an agency.
• Content production. Copywriting, product descriptions and photography are quoted separately if you want them, and they extend the schedule. Supplying finished content shortens the project.
• Third-party licences. Stock photography, premium fonts, external SaaS subscriptions and payment-processor transaction fees are outside the package.
• Advertising budget. Google Ads and Meta spend, and campaign management, are not included. The technical SEO setup that earns organic visibility is included in every package.

In two instalments, once: half before the project starts and half on delivery. There is no retainer, no renewal and no licence invoice afterwards.

• 50% advance before project start, balance on delivery.
• Invoicing. Every project is invoiced by Obelisx Digital in Istanbul and settled by international bank transfer in US dollars. Prices exclude VAT. Whether any tax is added depends on where your company is registered, and it is stated on the invoice before you pay anything.
• Full source code ownership transfers to the client at delivery.
• No monthly or yearly subscription — setup is a one-time fee.
• Speed and Lighthouse optimization are standard on every project.

Because the cost base is lower, not because the specification is. Salaries and overheads in Istanbul are a fraction of Berlin, Amsterdam or London rates, and that difference goes into the quote rather than into a thinner build. Three things keep the arrangement from being a gamble:

• Fixed scope, fixed price. The number you agree is the number you pay. Scope changes are re-quoted in writing before anyone starts on them.
• A measurable quality bar. We commit to Lighthouse 90+ on every build, so delivery is judged by a public tool you can run yourself rather than by our own account of the work.
• You own the code. The repository is transferred at delivery with no licence key, no hosted lock-in and no dependency on us for the next change.

Timezone is the other half of it. Istanbul is UTC+3, which overlaps the entire European working day through the summer and most of it in winter — reviews come back the same day, not the next one. How that runs in practice is set out on the services page.
